Senior Housing Properties Trust Raises Quarterly Common Dividend to $0.35 per Share

October 11, 2007

NEWTON, Mass.--Senior Housing Properties Trust (NYSE: SNH) today announced it has raised its regular quarterly common share dividend by $0.01 to $0.35 per common share ($1.40 per share per year). This regular quarterly dividend will be paid to common shareholders of record as of the close of business on October 22, 2007 and distributed on or about November 15, 2007.

Senior Housing Properties Trust is a real estate investment trust, or REIT, that owns 196 senior living properties located in 32 states. SNH is headquartered in Newton, Massachusetts.
